Britain’s annual Bonfire Night celebration goes back centuries.

Steeped in history, Bonfire Night has been an annual occasion since the 1600s.

Every year, around November 5, bonfires are lit and fireworks set off to remember the failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605, when Guy Fawkes and co-conspirators attempted to assassinate King James I by blowing up the Houses of Parliament.

Big events are going on up and down the country, and many of them don’t break the bank to attend.
