Here’s a round-up of this year’s organised bonfire and firework displays taking place across West Leeds:
Wednesday, November 5
Stanningley: Fire Pit & Smores, St Thomas Church Hall and garden, Stanningley, 4.30pm-6pm – photo chocolate, Lego and craft.
New Wortley community bonfire celebration at New Wortley Community Centre, Tong Road, 4.30pm-6.30pm. Enjoy pie and peas, toffee apples and hot chocolate. No fireworks, just cosy vibes.
Bonfireless Bonfire Night Celebrations, Swinnow Community Centre, Swinnow Lane, 7-10pm. Contact Swinnow Community Centre for more details.
Bramley: Daisy’s Bonfire Night, Daisy Inn pub, Stanningley Road. Display: 7.30pm. Pie and peas, free sparklers and glow sticks for kids.
Bonfire night: The Britannia, Swinnow Road from 3.30pm, fireworks display 6.45pm. Free entry.
Bonfire night at Kirkstall Bridge, from 5pm – event sold out.
Friday, 7 November
Pudsey St Lawrence Cricket Club, Gates open 6pm, bonfire 7pm, fireworks 7.45pm. Family (of four) £15, adult £6, child £3 (cash only).
Leeds Modernians fireworks night, Cookridge Lane, gates open 5.30pm.
Saturday, 8 November
Farsley: Bonfire Night Party at FC Farsley, Newlands, Farsley. Family of four £5, 4pm-12pm. Fairground 4pm, bonfire 6pm, fireworks at 8pm. Tickets here.
Kirkstall: Messy Bonfire Night, 4pm – 7pm, Kirkstall St Stephen’s Church, Morris Lane. 4pm Messy Church with children’s themed activities, 5.30pm bonfire lighting, 6.30pm fireworks.
Fulneck Golf Club & Bar, 5pm – 10.30pm Family of four £12 + £1 booking fee, adult £5, child (under 16) £3. Tickets available via TicketTailor.
Troydale Club, Gates open 6pm. Fireworks 7pm and 7.45pm. Free entry.
Calverley Golf Club’s annual bonfire and firework display, 6.30pm bonfire, 7.30pm fireworks. Wristbands will go on sale at the bar from 11am on Saturday, 11 October until the event, cash payments only. These will be available to buy within the clubhouse opening hours.
