House explosion in Tralee, emergency services at scene and roads remain closed

The scene in Tralee where a house explosion occurred shortly after 5pm.
Emergency services are at the scene of what is believed to be an explosion at a residence in Tralee town centre this evening.
Gardaí and four fire units are attending and the road is closed in the Manor West area of the town following the incident which occurred shortly after 5pm. The property, which has been significantly damaged, is located opposite Mile Height shopping units.
There are no reports of injuries at present.
A crane is also in operation at the site to assist fire crews and traffic across the town is at a backlog as a result.
