Kurt Kelleher of Shirley is celebrating big on Monday after claiming a $3 million top prize on the New York Lottery’s Bonus Bucks scratch-off game.
Kelleher chose to receive the prize in 20 annual payments of $97,653 each, after required withholdings. He purchased his winning ticket at the King Kullen on 405 William Floyd Parkway in Shirley.
New York Lottery officials said that, as of this writing, two $3 million top prizes remain on the Bonus Bucks ticket.
Players can check the status of any scratch-off game by downloading the Game Report at nylottery.ny.gov.
Kelleher, understandably all smiles while picking up his winnings, couldn’t hide his excitement.
