LEGO ‘boo-tanical’ display: New York home kicks off Halloween season

A New York City home is decked out in creepy crawly spiders and ‘boo-tanical’ flowers made out of LEGO blocks to celebrate Halloween.

The most iconic ship in the Star Trek franchise, the U.S.S. Enterprise, is making its Lego debut as a massive and pricey set.

According to Lego, the $399 .99 set is made from exactly 3,600 pieces and will be named the “LEGO Icons Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D.” Set to be released on Nov. 28, ahead of the holiday season, the set is already available to pre-order.

“This intricate model invites ‘Star Trek’ and LEGO fans to embark on a galactic voyage of creativity, building a detailed replica of Starfleet’s legendary flagship,” Lego said on Nov. 6 in a news release.

Additionally, a gift comes with the set if purchased between Nov. 28 and Dec. 1. The “LEGO Icons Star Trek: Type-15 Shuttlepod” set is a 261-piece minifigure-scale “support craft” that comes with an Ensign Ro Laren minifigure.

What’s included with Lego’s U.S.S. Enterprise set?

According to Lego, its U.S.S. Enterprise features a large set of nice details for Star Trek fans. Among them are a detachable command saucer, secondary hull and an opening shuttlebay containing a pair of mini shuttlepods.

The set also includes an angled stand for the ship, as well as a minifigure tile to complete the design. The set also comes with nine minifigures, each with unique themed accessories specifically chosen for each crew member.

  • Lieutenant Commander Data
  • Dr. Beverly Crusher
