Ninja kettle ‘helps cut electricity bill’ drops in price in early Black Friday offer

There’s nothing like a cup of tea or coffee on a cold day, and shoppers have found a piece of Ninja equipment that one person claims is so good it’s even improved the taste of their hot drinks. What’s more, it’s currently discounted.

The Black Perfect Temperature Kettle, Rapid Boil, is reduced to £79.99 when bought directly from Ninja, discounted from its full price of £99.99. This kettle gives shoppers control over the temperature of their hot drinks.

Pointing out that different hot drinks like tea and coffee have different brewing temperatures, Ninja’s kettle has pre-sets to help guide shoppers and avoid over-scalding water for drinks. With six pre-sets, ranging from 60°C to 100°C, the days of burnt coffee can be forgotten.

Their recommended temperatures for brews include 60°C to 90°C for speciality teas like green tea, white tea and oolong, while 95°C is said to be optimal for a perfect French Press and/or instant coffee. For black tea, English breakfast, Earl Grey, hot chocolate, chai, instant soup, fruit teas and herbal teas, they recommend 100°C.

Shoppers can also use the temperature controls manually and increase or decrease them in 5°C increments, ranging from 40°C to 100°C. It then has a live temperature readout to show information in real-time as it heats up to the selected temperature.

It’s equipped with rapid boil technology, so this 3000W electric kettle also boils water for one cup in under 50 seconds, Ninja says. It has a water window that is illuminated (blue) with water level markings up to 1.7L or 7 cups.

Another handy function is its Hold Temperature button, so users can press it at the beginning, middle or end of a program to keep the water at the desired temperature for half an hour. So making a second cup in 30 minutes means not having to re-boil the kettle.

For a kettle with mindfulness at its core, Dunelm has the Russell Hobbs Calm Kettle for £100. While at the higher end of the budget, this kettle has a 1.7L capacity and touch control display. It has frosted glass and colour-changing illumination for a calming glow as it heats up. When it’s ready, it turns white, and it has a 15-minute ‘keep warm’ feature too. Users can also choose from five soothing soundtracks for added calm while waiting for a brew, and with quiet boil technology, it can add calm to the kitchen.

On Argos, the Bosch MyMoment Delight Kettle in cream is £30. This kettle has a 60-degree base station, so accessing it from any angle is easy, and it has a one-cup indicator too, meaning shoppers can boil only the water needed for a single cuppa, saving water and electricity, Argos says.

With just over 1,300 reviews on Ninja, shoppers have left a lot of feedback. One person said they found it to be cost-saving, explaining: “Excellent product, quick boil, set to what temperature you need. Helps cut your electricity bill, which is good. It sets to the right temperature for the drink you are making, so no waiting for it to cool down. Very easy to use and really happy with the Ninja Kettle.”

One shopper was happy with the temperatures, adding: “What a marvellous invention this kettle is. No more burned coffee and tea at the right temperature, too. And when set, it keeps its temperature.” It improved the taste of tea, one customer claimed, adding: “Excellent, fast, energy efficient, easy to use, and all varieties of tea have tasted much better. Very fast delivery and well packaged with clear instructions. I am very pleased with my purchase.”

The boiling sound was a note from one person, who observed: “Class act kettle – really pleased with my purchase. Great fast boil. Just boils a little louder than I had expected.” And someone else wondered about the colour of the kettle lead, saying: “Lovely kettle, but I thought the lead would have been grey or white. Otherwise, very pleased with it and it boils very quickly.”
