Trio of slugging Arizona Diamondbacks named MLB Silver Slugger award winners

Diamondbacks’ GM Mike Hazen takes a look back on the 2025 season
After just missing the playoffs, Arizona Diamondbacks general manager Mike Hazen put his assessment of the season into words.
- Three Arizona Diamondbacks players won National League Silver Slugger Awards.
- Ketel Marte, Corbin Carroll and Geraldo Perdomo were recognized as top offensive performers.
Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte, right fielder Corbin Carroll and shortstop Geraldo Perdomo were named National League Silver Slugger Award winners on Thursday, Nov. 6.
For Marte, it was his second consecutive year being named a Silver Slugger, which is given to the top offensive performer at each position. Carroll and Perdomo are both first-time winners.
Marte enjoyed yet another huge year at the plate, hitting .283/.376/.517 with 28 homers and 72 RBIs in 126 games. He won the award for the first time last season after hitting .292/.372/.560 with 36 homers and 95 RBIs.
Marte has been, far and away, baseball’s most productive second baseman the past two seasons. Riding the momentum he created with a huge postseason performance in 2023, Marte has logged a combined .913 OPS the past two years. The next-closest second baseman is Brandon Lowe of the Tampa Bay Rays, who has posted a .784 OPS.
Carroll enjoyed a bounce-back season in 2025, hitting .259/.343/.541 with a whopping 80 extra-base hits, including 31 homers and a league-leading 17 triples. He also stole 32 bases.
He was named a winner along with two others — the New York Mets’ Juan Soto and the Chicago Cubs’ Kyle Tucker — in the category of outfielders.
Perdomo turned in a stunning offensive season, transforming from a pesky, on-base type in previous years to a bonafide threat at the plate. In 161 games, Perdomo hit .290/.389/.462 with 20 homers, 100 RBIs and 27 stolen bases.
All three Diamondbacks players could receive down-ballot consideration in NL Most Valuable Player voting, with Perdomo expected to be the highest finisher of the three. He was not, however, named one of the top three finishers earlier this week.
