Drake Trolls Shohei Ohtani, Dodgers in Photos After Blue Jays Win World Series Game 5

The Toronto Blue Jays are giving their highest-profile fan a lot to be happy about after taking a 3-2 lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers with a dominant Game 5 win in the World Series.
Drake was posting jokes on social media at the Dodgers’ expense throughout Toronto’s 6-1 victory, including one using the famous image from Shohei Ohtani’s GQ photo shoot in 2022.
The rap superstar has been a prominent fixture around this World Series, as is often the case whenever a Toronto team is involved. He was in attendance for Game 1 at Rogers Centre to see the Blue Jays’ 11-4 win.
Since their crushing 18-inning loss in Game 3, the Blue Jays have taken control of the series. They have outscored the Dodgers 12-3 in the last two games combined, stealing home-field advantage back as the series returns to Toronto.
Wednesday’s game featured a historic performance from Blue Jays pitcher Trey Yesavage. The phenom set a World Series record for strikeouts in a game by a rookie with 12 in seven innings.
Following his historic Game 3 in which he reached base nine times, Ohtani is 0-for-7 with one walk in eight plate appearances in the last two games.
The Blue Jays also hit two homers on the first three pitches of the game, with Davis Schneider and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. taking Blake Snell yard.
One more win will give the Blue Jays their first World Series title since 1993. Joe Carter’s legendary walk-off homer to clinch the series in Game 6 against the Philadelphia Phillies occurred on Oct. 23, one day before Drake’s seventh birthday.
It’s safe to assume that Drake will be around the Rogers Centre on Friday when the Blue Jays host the Dodgers in the biggest game for the franchise since that 1993 World Series.
