But with emergency services at the scene for some time after the crash, queues soon stretched back to the Southern Motorway’s Gillies Ave northbound on-ramp.
Travellers should expect a slower journey than normal, police said.
“Motorists are being advised to expect delays.”

Google Maps showed heavy congestion stretching 8km from the Gillies Ave interchange north to just past the bridge at noon, with a driving time of just under half an hour.
That journey time had halved by 12.50pm, according to Google Maps.
