F1 Brazil GP sprint race and qualifying – Start time, how to watch & more

Lando Norris continued his strong form by taking pole for the Formula 1 Brazil Grand Prix sprint with McLaren team-mate and title rival Oscar Piastri in third.
Mercedes rookie Andrea Kimi Antonelli splits the pair and his team-mate George Russell will join Piastri on the second row, with Fernando Alonso and Max Verstappen sharing the third row.
This is with four rounds remaining in the 2025 season, in which the title battle is incredibly tight with leader Norris only a point ahead of Piastri with Verstappen clinging on in third.
The next instalment of the fight is on Saturday for the sprint race at Interlagos, ahead of qualifying for Sunday’s grand prix later that day.

The Brazil Grand Prix sprint race starts at 2pm in the United Kingdom and 11am local time with the Interlagos contest set to cover 24 laps.
What time does qualifying start for the F1 Brazil Grand Prix?

- Start time: 6pm GMT/3pm local time
Brazil Grand Prix qualifying commences at 6pm in the UK and 3pm in Sao Paulo, using the traditional Q1, Q2 and Q3 format.
How can I watch Formula 1?
F1 fans in the UK can watch the championship via Sky Sports, meaning it is also available via streaming sites NOW TV or Sky GO. Sky Sports F1 costs £20 each month, but it can also be bought as part of a deal that includes all Sky channels at £22.

For the Brazil Grand Prix, it will air a 90-minute highlight package of both the sprint race and grand prix qualifying from 10pm on Saturday 8 November. What’s the weather forecast for the sprint race and grand prix qualifying at Interlagos?
Saturday at Interlagos is expected to start with showers in 21-22C weather, according to the Met Office. However, by the time of the sprint race, conditions are expected to have dried up with the shortened contest taking place under a cloudy sky with air temperature around 24C. Conditions are likely to remain the same for qualifying, with just a 10% chance of rain.
