Lacey Chabert’s Daughter Wants Tree Full of Her Mom’s Hallmark Ornaments

Lacey Chabert has taken her Hallmark “Queen of Christmas” title to the next level with her new product line — but it’s the mini ornament of herself that brings Chabert’s daughter the most joy.

“I want to be clear, Hallmark was so kind to allow me to be a part of the Keepsake Collection, but I did not design the ornament,” Chabert, 43, exclusively told Us Weekly on Monday, November 3, of the porcelain bauble that features Chabert wearing a red evening gown, adding that her younger, childhood self would be in “utter disbelief” that she is now a holiday ornament.

Chabert went on to call the speciality ornament a “beautiful gift” and that she “appreciate[s]” being honored by the company after starring in Hallmark films since 2010. Her daughter Julia, however, is an even bigger fan of the mini Chabert ornament.

“It’s really funny — my daughter wants us to have a tree at home that’s entirely my ornaments,” the actress said with a laugh, referring to her and husband David Nehdar’s 9-year-old. “So I think she’s planning on pranking me with that.”

While Chabert isn’t necessarily opposed to seeing a miniature version of herself hanging on a big Christmas tree in her house this holiday season, she is more excited about displaying The Lacey Chabert Collection throughout her home.

Hallmark Channel is the home of holiday cheer thanks to its annual “Countdown to Christmas” programming — which just keeps getting bigger and better. Every year, fans are treated to a slew of feel-good holiday movies starring Lacey Chabert, Andrew Walker and more beloved actors. While the stories showcased are different, there are a lot […]

“It’s kind of going to be everywhere. I’m so proud of it,” the Celebrations With Lacey Chabert host told Us of her first holiday product launch, available online and in Hallmark stores.

Chabert said she plans to do an “entire tree of the ornaments that’s all pink and green and mint green and some red.” (There is a six-piece glass ornament set featuring a mint green bauble with candy canes on it and another pink globe with mistletoe painted on it.)

“I’ll do one area, probably my dining room that’s all this color scheme, and then I’ll have other things, other places, that are different color schemes,” Chabert teased, referring to the pink and mint green pieces that are paired with more traditional red and evergreen colors in her collection.

She gushed, “One of my favorite things about the holidays is when I’m in the kitchen and I’m cooking my great grandmother’s coconut cake or my grandma’s sweet potato pie. It’s [the] ritual of that [which] brings back the memories of doing that as a kid.”

Lacey Chabert is Hallmark’s queen of Christmas, but she’s also ready to put a spell on party guests by hosting the ultimate Halloween bash. “We’re all about pumpkins,” Chabert exclusively told Us Weekly of her go-to fall party theme during a set visit to her Hallmark Channel series, Celebrations With Lacey Chabert, earlier this year. Chabert noted that through her collection — which features a green serving tray with poinsettias on it and matching tea towel — she gets to pass on her own traditions to her daughter and other Hallmark families.

“Now that these items can be a part of that [tradition for others] is really, really special to me,” she shared, calling the collaboration a “dream come true.”

Chabert, who also stars in She’s Making a List in December, told Us that although it’s “impossible” to pick her favorite item, she has a soft spot for the three-bowl set with bows on them and matching glasses with tiny bow designs.

“The tray is so beautiful,” she added. “I think it’s that kind of piece that you’ll get excited to bring out every season. I really love all of it.”

Chabert explained that her collection is inspired by “the archives from the 1950s at Hallmark,” which made “perfect sense” for her.

“I was so excited about it, because my love for vintage items comes from my mother. It’s something that was definitely passed down to me,” she told Us. “This [line] has that feeling of, like, there’s a vintage vibe to it. It’s very whimsical. I love the pops of color.”
