Game Preview: A rematch from their previous contest

Who: Phoenix Suns (4-5) vs Los Angeles Clippers (3-5)
When: 8:30pm Arizona Time
Where: Intuit Dome, Los Angeles, California
Watch: Arizona’s Family 3TV, Arizona’s Family Sports, Suns+
Coming off a big win vs the Clippers the other night, the Suns look to take a 2-1 regular season series lead over their Pacific Division rival. With former Phoenix Sun Bradley Beal playing for their opposition, the Suns look to strike where it matters most: on the court. With Jalen Green making an impressive debut for the Suns, he continues that hot night over into his next performance.
This team is meeting for the third time in the first ten games; this will show how much each has learned from the other in their previous matchups. I expect not only Jordan Ott but Tyron Lue as well to make the necessary adjustments to give their respective teams an advantage. The Suns, unfortunately, lost in LA last time they were there, but look to bring the energy from Phoenix into this game.

With no Kawhi Leonard but James Harden returning, my main point of interest is to see how the Suns can stall the Clippers.
In their first contest, Harden dominated in the second half and commanded the Clippers’ offense. He had 30 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists with a block and a perfect 9-of-9 from the free throw line. Making sure they can limit his ability to control the offense, both as a scorer and as a facilitator, is key. We have seen Jordan Goodwin getting more minutes recently, and he would be one of our better pests for Harden.
For Phoenix, it is figuring out this offense with Green being inserted alongside Booker.
We saw in their last game on Thursday that Green was able to find success, and that needs to continue. The Suns need to make sure he can find his rhythm to get consistent offensively for this team, so that Booker can have another key offensive piece alongside him. Green had 29 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and had a Suns record of 6 threes made on his debut.
Keys to Winning this Game
The Suns need to be able to control the pace of this game on the road to win. The Intuit Dome is intimidating to enter because of The Wall. On the road, this team needs to make sure they can score on the offensive end and share the ball evenly. 6 Suns had double-digit points in their last victory, and something resembling that could prove to be very beneficial once again.
On the defensive end, making sure to win the turnover and second-chance point game is also key. By trying to prioritize the glass with their deep, big-man rotation, the Suns should be fighting for every rebound. With the Clippers being a more experienced team as well, the ability to play fast on both sides without being sloppy is more prevalent than ever.
In both games, the team has been without key players, which has led to the opponent winning. Going into this one, the Clippers are without Kawhi Leonard, and with that still missing, the Suns can get another sneaky win on the road. If they can force Bradley Beal into that shooting night from the other day, that would be even better for their chances of success. I feel another big Devin Booker game here as well.
