Gasperini praises Roma’s win vs Udinese: “We played a great match against a tough opponent.”
Roma won 2-0 at the Olimpico against Udinese and regained the top spot in Serie A.
After the victory, Gian Piero Gasperini spoke on TV and at a press conference.
“We were tired towards the end and took a few too many risks. Otherwise, we played a great match against a tough team. I’m satisfied; the team is growing, playing, and believing.”
“We’ve already seen some great things. It’s a good time for us. Now comes the break, and that’s good because we have someone to catch up on.”
“We’ve lost a lot of attacking players right now. When you’re missing players in the same area, you can have some difficulties. Compared to a few weeks ago, the team has new conviction in attacking play; we have new solutions based on the players, who are very different.”
“We’ve had the advantage of playing a lot of games and have had opportunities to improve. With Mancini on the right, we’re better able to build from the back. It’s giving us results, and we’re adopting it.”
