Yet before even battling bugs and chomping down critters in the camp Down Under Angry Ginge, whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle, is already causing havoc.

He spoke to The Sun after landing in Brisbane and said: “I’m very excited – I’ve never been here before so it should be fun.”

Revealing he’d had a natter with at least three other show stars, he said: “You won’t actually believe why I’m here…

“I got a random phone call last night off Kelly Brook saying she’s ‘coming to visit her auntie Sheila, do I want to join her?’.

“Then Lisa Riley rings me and says she’s doing Dingles Down Under, do I want to join her? I said I might as well.

“Then Aitch said he’s going on tour so I said I’ll join him as well.

“And then Aitch’s mum rings me and says, ‘I’ve got two weeks in Australia I’ve just won off Postcode Lottery, do I want to join her?’

“I said I might as well!”

He then made a jokey remark about his good pal and fellow campmate Aitch, who has also touched down in Australia.

He said: “I’m not the number one fan of his music, but he’s a good guy so it should be fun.”

Angry Ginge found fame as a gaming streamer, with a huge 1.2million following on Twitch.

He has previously represented England in Soccer Aid, scooping the Man of the Match accolade, and is an avid fan of Manchester United.

Talking about sleeping in the outdoors, he added: “Camping? Well I did a Duke of Edinburgh Bronze when I was in high school, so I wasn’t too bad at that.

“But I don’t think we’ll be camping – I don’t think he (Aitch) camps when he’s on tour.

BUG BEAR

When Angry Ginge was asked about the creepy-crawlies and bugs that Aussie is famed for, he said: “That’s one of the reasons why I did vouch to never come to Australia – because of the spiders and the animals.

“So I’m hoping the hotel’s secure and there’s none getting in.”

He said he will miss his chat on live streaming platform Twitch, his friends and family, and his beloved Manchester United.

Angry Ginge regularly shares big moments of his life and career with his fans — including working with football legend Wayne Rooney.

Previously, an ITV source revealed: “ITV bosses always like to have a social media superstar on their cast, especially after GK Barry proved such a success last year.

“Angry Ginge has bags of personality and was really friendly to everyone at Soccer Aid this year.

“He made a great impression.”

SHOW FAVE

Despite his worries about camping and critters, Angry Ginge is currently the bookies favourite for the show title.

Bookies William Hill has placed the online star as the clear favourite, with narrowed-down odds of 5/2.

William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps told The Sun: “This year’s I’m A Celeb line-up is yet to be officially announced, but with leaks flooding in, we’ve seen a wave of money for Youtuber and streamer Angry Ginge to win the series.

“Having initially been a 9/2 shot with us, his odds have tumbled to 5/2 over the weekend, and he is now the outright favourite, ahead of Celebs Go Dating’s Tom Read Wilson at 5/1, who has also shortened significantly since the weekend.

“Martin Kemp sits third in the betting at 6/1, just ahead of Aitch (13/2) and Jack Osbourne (7/1).

“As the start of the series approaches and we find out the official line-up, there are sure to be more shake-ups in this market.”
