Major fire breaks out in Tipperary town centre

Gardaí and emergency services attended to a major fire in the town centre of Roscrea in the early hours of this morning.

Gardaí assisted fire services with an incident of fire that occurred at a commercial premises in Roscrea, County Tipperary this Tuesday morning, November 11 at about 2am, confirmed a Garda spokesperson.

“No injuries have been reported at this time. No offences have been disclosed at this time. Foul play is not suspected at this time,” said gardaí.

Local reports say the fire broke out at Bernie’s SuperValu. Up to five units of the Fire Brigade attended the scene, from Roscrea, Nenagh and Cloughjordan. There were reports of black smoke billowing from the scene and noxious fumes in the air.
