The Milan Leather Bag is ‘practical yet stylish’, and it’s a bargain, shoppers say

Celebs such as Stacey Solomon and Kate Middleton love this designer brand known for its luxury jewellery. And now it has branched out into handbags – and they have launched one particular leather bag that shoppers are ‘obsessed’ with.
The Milan Leather Bag from Abbot Lyon comes in two colour options, including an autumnal Burgundy shade that fans say is the ‘perfect’ colour. It is crafted from 100% genuine Cowhide leather with a cotton twill lining, and finished with a subtle embossed weave on the outside for added texture.
The bag measures 32.5cm tall by 48cm wide, meaning it’s plenty big enough to fit your laptop, your make-up, and other on-the-go essentials. It is finished with an easy zip-top closure to keep your belongings secure, and a handle measuring 29cm in length that you can easily throw over your shoulder.

The bag even comes in a separate luxury cotton twill dust bag so it arrives looking clean and shiny, and you can personalise it with any one of five detachable bag charms, from initials to clovers or hearts.
The Milan Leather Bag is priced at £89, which has been hailed as ‘a bargain’ given its size. It also bears a striking resemblance to the Bottega Veneta Hop Large Leather Shoulder Bag, which carries a whopping price tag of £4,250.
One fashion expert who has tried out the Abbot Lyon bag is Laura Mulley, Beauty and Wellness Editor for OK!, who says it is ‘the perfect work bag’.
She wrote: “As a regular traveller with lengthy train journeys and frequent overnight work stays, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect work bag for quite some time. It needs to be fashionable, comfortable to carry for long periods and crucially, roomy enough to fit my bulky work laptop.
“I’ve tried various styles, from rucksacks to crossbody bags, but never found one that ticked all the boxes – until now, when I came across this practical and designer-inspired bag in an unexpected place.
“What drew me to the Milan bag was a photo on the brand’s website of a model effortlessly slipping a laptop into it – a key feature for me. Upon its arrival, I promptly tested it with my hefty work laptop and was thrilled to discover that it fit easily, along with all my other daily essentials like a water bottle, purse, notebook, phone etc.”
Laura continued: “Although one-shoulder bags aren’t typically recommended as the best choice for your back (choose a supportive rucksack if you have back problems), I found this bag really comfortable to wear, largely due to the broad strap. However, it can slide off the shoulder quite easily if worn with slippery clothing, or not packed particularly full.”
She also noted that the bag has a tendency to topple over when placed on the floor, and may benefit from having a wider base. However, despite these slight drawbacks, Laura was left ‘ecstatic’ with the Milan bag, which she says is ‘the perfect work bag’ without having to pay designer prices.
