Skechers has signed its first Colombian artist, naming Sofía Vergara as its new ambassador. Known for her distinctive style and charisma on and off screen, Sofía joins the Skechers family to help shape the future of footwear—where fashion and comfort meet.

Throughout her career, the Colombian actress has received five nominations at the Emmy Awards and the Golden Globes, most recently for her role in “Griselda”. In 2025, she made history as the first Latina to be nominated for the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series.
“I don’t do anything if I don’t believe in it… and I really believe in Skechers,” said Vergara. “I’ve been wearing Skechers for over a year now, and they’ve completely changed the way I think about trainers. Not only are they comfortable, they’re sleek, stylish, and pair easily with everything in my wardrobe. That’s why this collaboration felt so natural.”
Sofía’s interest in Skechers didn’t start in a boardroom, but in a shopping centre. After knee surgery, she was looking for shoes that were both comfortable and stylish; she discovered Skechers on her own, buying several pairs before learning that her team was already in talks with the brand.
Now, as the new face of Skechers, Vergara will front a global campaign that celebrates style, versatility and comfort—core values of the brand. The campaign will spotlight the iconic Hands-Free Slip-ins and Glide-Step silhouettes.
