‘Fallout’ Season 2 Trailer Gets Ready for War

The post-apocalyptic world of Fallout appears to be getting, well, a little bit more apocalyptic in the trailer for the Prime Video series’ second season.

The show will take its characters to New Vegas (a key location in the Fallout video game franchise) in the coming season, which premieres Dec. 17 — while also setting the stage for a big battle. About a minute into the trailer (watch it below), the Ghoul (Walton Goggins) says “I wastelanded for 200 years. I’ve kept myself alive for one reason — to find my family.” To which an unseen character responds, “Well, then. You’re gonna need friends. There’s a war coming.”

The trailer also offers glimpses at new cast additions Kumail Nanjiani and Macaulay Culkin. Series regulars Ella Purnell, Goggins, Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias and Frances Turner also return.

The logline for season two reads, “The new season will pick up in the aftermath of season one’s epic finale and take audiences along for a journey through the wasteland of the Mojave to the post-apocalyptic city of New Vegas.”

Amazon MGM Studios and Kilter Films produce Fallout in association with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks. Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner are the show’s creators and showrunners and executive produce with Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy and Athena Wickham of Kilter Films, Todd Howard of Bethesda Game Studios James Altman of Bethesda Softworks and Margot Lulick.
