A widespread power outage is impacting much of Rapid City.
The outage began Thursday afternoon. It’s unclear the cause or how long the power will stay out.
City officials have deployed police to guide vehicles as city traffic signals are also affected. Four-way stop protocols are in place for any traffic signal not manned by an officer.
