Months after his high-profile divorce, Hugh Jackman’s eco-retreat partner has dropped a shock move, fuelling wild-card rumours.
The entrepreneur behind Jackman’s luxury escape, Gwinganna Lifestyle Retreat in the Gold Coast hinterland, has quietly listed a newly completed wellness estate for sale – just nine minutes’ drive away.

EcoView Retreat in Tallebudgera Valley, Qld, has been listed for sale with Sothebys International Realty.
Designed to operate as an Airbnb-style retreat, the 28-hectare property called EcoView Resort features 15 self-contained villas, five adaptable multi-purpose spaces, and a separate four-bedroom residence with a granny flat.
While it could attract short-term rentals – as Jackman’s business partner Tony de Leede intended when he built it, the scale and turnkey setup mean it could also be snapped up by a full-time wellness brand looking to expand in the fast-growing experiential tourism sector.
Mr de Leede, who brought Fitness First to Australia, founded Gwinganna and remains a significant shareholder alongside Jackman, while other stakeholders hold around 20 per cent.
He previously listed his stake in Gwinganna for sale and has now put the neighbouring retreat up with a fresh agency for sale.

It has 15 self-contained villas.
Originally built for short-term rental of the entire retreat, the setup can run just as well for anyone looking for a fulltime small group business.
The property is just 20 minutes from the closest airport.
The property was listed this week by Sotheby’s International Realty agents Lana Faulkner and Kurt McMahon, who described it as a “rare investment opportunity” created by the entrepreneur behind Gwinganna.
“For the next owner, it presents a ready-made platform to expand or reposition under an established wellness and hospitality legacy. This is a brand opportunity as much as it is a property – an estate with credibility, lifestyle appeal, and limitless potential,” the agents said.
The estate was “purpose-built for wellness retreats, corporate events, and private functions”.
“Every detail reflects a philosophy already proven on a global scale – creating places where people come to reconnect, restore, and live differently.”
The estate’s separate four-bedroom residence with self-contained granny flat that agents believe can be used by a caretaker or even by the owners as their personal space. “With its own driveway, it’s ideal for a caretaker, on-site management, or family residence,” the listing said.
