Police confirm ‘sudden death’ of man in his 40s

A man has been pronounced dead at a property in Swindon.

Emergency services rushed to an address in Swindon, believed to be in Argyle Street, Gorse Hill, just after 12:20pm on Tuesday, November 11.

Two double-crewed land ambulances, an air ambulance and an operations officer were in attendance.

Wiltshire Police has since confirmed that emergency services descended on the property following the sudden death of a man in his 40s.

They are not treating his death as suspicious and say their thoughts are with his family.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “This relates to the sudden death of a man in his 40s which we attended on November 11 at approximately 12.30pm.

“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and our thoughts are with his family at this time.”

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 12:23hrs on Tuesday 11 November to an incident in Swindon. We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, an air ambulance, and an operations officer to the scene.”
