Eubank Jr vs Benn 2: date, start time, odds and how to watch

Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn’s first meeting in April was a fight of the year contender and the two British stars will go head-to-head again Saturday, November 15.

Eubank Jr claimed a unanimous decision win in the first meeting at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, winning 116-112 on all three scorecards. However, Benn impressed as he stepped up from welterweight to meet his rival at middleweight and most of those rounds were close so he will feel capable of taking some revenge.

Initially it was announced that the rematch would take place in November but Eubank Jr felt he needed more time and Benn indicated at points he was ready to walk away and pursue the title holders at 147lbs.

Fortunately, a new date was agreed and the pair will clash again at the same venue this Saturday in a highly anticipated rematch. Eubank Jr has previous experience of a high-profile rematch as he responded to a knockout loss to Liam Smith by securing a stoppage win over the Liverpudlian.

Benn had a rematch against Cedrick Peynaud earlier in his career, although he won both fights, and he is returning to the ring for the first time since suffering a first professional defeat as he was unbeaten heading into his clash with Eubank Jr in April.

‘Ultimately, his size and superior skillset are huge advantages and this time he can end any room for doubt’

The rematch will once again take place at the middleweight limit and a rehydration clause is in place, meaning both fighters must weigh in at 160lbs the day before and cannot weigh more than 170lbs on the morning of the fight. As the naturally bigger man this only really affects Eubank Jr, who made no secret of his struggles to make the weight in the first bout as he exceeded the limit by just 0.05 lbs in his second attempt.

Eubank Jr now has a 35-3 record with 25 of his wins coming inside the distance. Conor Benn’s record is 23-1 with 14 KOs.
