Dasha Nekrasova Fired by Gersh After Controversial Podcast Interview with Nick Fuentes

In a significant development in the entertainment industry, actress Dasha Nekrasova, recognized for her roles in HBO’s “Succession” and A24’s “Materialists,” has been dropped by the Gersh Agency following her appearance on a podcast with far-right commentator Nick Fuentes. Confirmations from a spokesperson for Gersh have clarified the agency’s decision, which occurred shortly after Nekrasova was cast in the suspense thriller “Iconoclast,” directed by Gabriel Basso.

Nekrasova’s burgeoning agreement for “Iconoclast” has reportedly been rescinded prior to signing, a consequence of the fallout from her recent podcast interview. Although the episode aired on YouTube about a month ago, it has recently gained traction within Hollywood circles, leading to widespread backlash against statements made during the discussion that have been deemed problematic.

The podcast episode in question, part of the “Red Scare” series co-hosted by Nekrasova and Anna Khachiyan since 2018, has attracted attention for its controversial content. Titled “Fuentanyl OD – Nick Fuentes x Red Scare,” the nearly three-hour-long conversation delves into numerous contentious topics, including offensive stereotypes regarding various ethnic groups and statements regarded as dismissive of important historical events, such as the Holocaust.

The dialogue features multiple references to “international jewery,” as well as derogatory remarks about Italians, Asians, and immigrants from developing countries. It has been noted that the podcast has accumulated over 220,000 views since its release, and it reportedly showcases a consistent pattern of controversial rhetoric from its guests, challenging the boundaries of discourse.

Fuentes, identified as the leader of the “Groypers” movement, advocates for an “America First” ideology that often clashes with mainstream conservatism. His views are recognized for being markedly more extreme than those of other right-wing figures, such as Charlie Kirk, whose own controversial perspectives have drawn criticism.

Moreover, Fuentes is openly labeled as a white nationalist and Holocaust denier, and he has publicly expressed his alignment with Christian nationalist principles, alongside a range of anti-LGBTQ and misogynistic views. His criticism of mainstream conservative alliances further underscores the divide within right-leaning political discourse.

Deadline has reached out to Nekrasova and her attorney, Mark A. Gochman, for official statements regarding the repercussions of her podcast appearance and the subsequent decisions impacting her career. The entertainment community continues to observe the unfolding situation, as discussions surrounding free speech and accountability for public statements become increasingly pronounced in the industry.
