Suns’ Dillon Brooks fined $25K for lewd gesture vs. Pacers

Like clockwork, Dillon Brooks has found himself on the wrong side of a fine from the NBA.
The Phoenix Suns wing got a $25,000 hit to his wallet for making a lewd gesture on the playing court in Thursday’s 133-98 win over the Indiana Pacers, the league announced Friday.
The incident occurred with 54 seconds left in the second quarter. After making a tough leaning mid-range shot and falling to the floor, Brooks made a gesture to his lower body while lying on the court.
Despite the fine, Brooks finished with a season-high 33 points with five rebounds and seven assists on 12-of-22 from the field.
It’s the fourth fine the Mississauga, Ont., native has incurred this season after drawing three separate $2,000 fines for technical fouls earlier in the season.
Brooks has taken fines with regularity throughout his nine-year career, with 105 incidents for a total of $415,000 out of his wallet.
The 29-year-old is having a career year in his first season with the Suns, averaging 20.3 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.9 steals while playing 29.1 minutes a night.
