Javonte Green, Daniss Jenkins lead Pistons to ninth straight win

Detroit — The Detroit Pistons looked to be struggling early in the third quarter until Daniss Jenkins hit a three-point shot, which helped the team regain its momentum. This shot sparked a surge, allowing the Pistons to finish the quarter with a 23-15 run. Despite trailing by as many as 12 points during the period, the Pistons entered the fourth quarter with renewed energy, down 90-88.
The momentum established late in the third quarter helped the Pistons dominate the 76ers in the fourth quarter, leading to a decisive 114-105 win inside Little Caesars Arena Friday night. With the win, the Pistons extended their winning streak to nine, their longest since the 2007-08 season. They also improved to 2-0 during the Emirates NBA Cup.
Javonte Green led Detroit with a team-high 21 points and nine rebounds. Jenkins added 19 points and eight assists. Tyrese Maxey led the 76ers with a game-high 31 points.
