Bulgaria’s coach: We are trying to lighten the atmosphere with different means and methods
Alexander Dimitrov is of the opinion that Turkey will not allow underestimating the Bulgarian national football team in the match of the qualifiers for the World Cup in the USA, Mexico and Canada in 2026. The Bulgarian coach spoke about the atmosphere in the team hours before the match with the Turks from Group E, which will start at 19:00 at the “Matl“ stadium in Bursa.
He shared with BNT that in the Bulgarian camp they try to be positive so that the players can give their best.
“There is no way, if you are inhibited, to give your best. This would affect both the players and us as coaches. We are trying with different means and methods to lighten the atmosphere, especially in the training process, to shake off these things. So that the players can give their best.“
The coach also revealed what he expects from the “lions“ during the match, in order to oppose the Turks.
“Throughout the match, I want to make it as difficult as possible for the opponent, who will in no case underestimate us and will be extremely motivated to finish us off as quickly as possible, so to speak. I want to take the game more into the opponent’s half, to turn the home team’s defenders towards their goal, so that we can have some success,“ commented Dimitrov.
