Athy were both wasteful and laboured in attack for much of tonight’s Leinster quarter-final clash with Summerhill, but they still eased to victory over their Meath opponents thanks to their utter and total dominance at midfield and half-back.
After a competitive first-half, the Kildare champions seemed to win every contested possession after half-time, monopolising control of the ball and setting up a string of handy scoring chances.
