Prediction, pick for Viacheslav Borshchev vs. Matheus Camilo at UFC 322

Ryan Wohl details his best bet for the first fight of the UFC 322 card between Viacheslav Borshchev and Matheus Camilo.

The first fight of UFC 322 is Viacheslav Borshchev vs. Matheus Camilo in a three-round Lightweight fight. Borshchev is 3-5-1 in the UFC and has suffered back-to-back losses. Camilo has a 9-3 record but lost his UFC debut against Gabe Green in May. This fight kicks off the UFC 322 Early Prelims, which begin at 6:00 p.m. ET on ESPN+ and Disney+.

Here is my prediction for Viacheslav Borshchev vs. Matheus Camilo at UFC 322 on the Early Prelims.

Matheus Camilo Moneyline (-175)

Borshchev is known as “Slava Claus” and is an excellent striker, but has struggled against opponents who are elite on the ground. Although Camilo has been submitted to three times in his career, he has two submissions of his own. Before his most recent loss, Camilo won six straight bouts.

Camilo is a -175 favorite in this contest with Borshchev being a +145 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook. Until Borshchev proves he is more than just a striker, it will be hard for him to defeat talented, versatile fighters. Camilo trains at Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas, Nevada, with Head Coach Eric Nicksick.

At 24 years old, Camilo still has a bright future and has the opportunity to bounce back at Madison Square Garden. If Camilo can mix in some takedowns while being effective on the feet, he will likely find success in this matchup.
