Terry Bradshaw opens up on very different career move away from NFL

Terry Bradshaw, the legendary Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback and one of the most recognizable faces in NFL broadcasting, has been musing about life beyond football.
The 77-year-old shared his thoughts during an appearance on the ‘Nothing Left Unsaid’ podcast, where he also revealed some interesting tidbits about his personal life.
“All my son-in-laws are awesome,” Bradshaw began, shedding light on his family life away from the gridiron. “One’s in oil and gas, one’s a horse trader, my other son-in-law is in on my bourbon business with me, awesome salesman. And he’s an award-winning chef, voted the #1 chef in Dallas two years ago. He’s from Hawaii, incredible chef.”
Bradshaw also hinted at a potential new venture outside of football. The former star quarterback shared that he is currently collaborating with FOX on a project unrelated to the sport.
“Matter of fact, as we talk today, we’re in the process of doing a show on FOX Nation, and it’s a cooking show, I think it’s four segments they’re gonna give us to see if it’s any good,” Bradshaw disclosed.
The NFL legend’s remarks emerged during the same interview where he disclosed the peculiar habits he displayed during his school years.
Speaking on the podcast, the FOX NFL Sunday star revealed the extraordinary measures he and his family undertook to reach their current position.
“I grew up in a middle-class family in Shreveport, Louisiana. Father was a welder, mother was a housewife,” he recalled on the show. “We walked to school, maybe four, but I didn’t like wearing shoes.
“So I would leave the house with shoes on my feet, but I wouldn’t wear them to school. I would stick them in pipes that were on the way to school and hide them so nobody would steal them. I would go to school barefoot.
“I don’t know why… I liked to feel the grass and dirt under my feet.”
It seems his shoeless tendency persists today, as Bradshaw has been spotted multiple times without footwear on the golf course, though he does don them during FOX NFL Sunday telecasts.
However, while going barefoot was a personal quirk he developed independently, Bradshaw confessed he never encouraged this behavior in his own children.
He also revealed a particular piece of guidance he chose not to impart to his kids.
Discussing his children, he shared: “They all seek advice, I love giving advice, they all come to me with love advice… those girls come to you and they say ‘Dad, what do you think about Tommy Joe? I really like him and this and that. What do you think about Tommy Joe?’ Here’s Dad’s answer, ‘I’ve got no comment, sweetie!’
“When it comes to matters of the heart, nooooo, I’m not part of that, you go do that on your own.”
