Jack Osbourne, media personality and son of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, is appearing on this year’s series of ITV I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.

Other stars joining Jack down under include Manchester rapper Aitch, footballer Alex Scott, content creator Angry Ginge, Eastenders star Whitney Dean and radio presenter Eddie Kadie among other celebs.

Jack was first put in the limelight through the reality show The Osbournes, which aired from 2002 to 2005, along with his parents and sister Kelly. After that, in 2005, he fronted his own series, Jack Osbourne: Adrenaline Junkie in which he took part in extreme challenges including climbing mountains and martial arts.

Then in 2016, Jack and his father Ozzy created reality TV show Ozzy and Jack’s World Detour in which the pair travelled the world.

Music legend Ozzy passed away at the age of 76 on July 22, just weeks after a Black Sabbath reunion concert held in his home city of Birmingham.

Due to their close bond, Jack has admitted that it will be “difficult” for him to take part in the ITV programme after the passing of his rock icon dad. Speaking to ITV about his decision to join the programme, Jack revealed that his mum Sharon and sister Kelly have given him their full support.

“Mum and Kelly, yeah they are absolutely going to be watching. They are supportive,” he said. Jack continued: “It’s absolutely going to be hard leaving them behind. I have got lots of kids, my wife, and my family still in the wake of my dad passing.

“It is going to be difficult, that is for sure. It’s not the longest amount of time I’ve been away from them. I’ve gone on different trips filming Adrenaline Junkie for nearly two months without a phone, but I still had access to one and I was able to make calls home.

“It’s going to be very difficult not speaking to my wife and kids. But yes, I do hope I can make my family proud.”

He also admitted that “there is a chance” viewers will hear him declare the famous words: “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here”, as he is “scared of the Bushtucker Trials”.

He said: “The advice my mum gave me was ‘don’t tell them what you’re really afraid of.'”

Back in 2012, when Jack was 26 years old, he was diagnosed with relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS). Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an incurable neurological condition that damages the nerves and affects the transfer of messages around the body.

In 2013, Jack danced his way to the final of Strictly Come Dancing US, and shared how he could continue being active despite his diagnosis of MS.

He wrote on Facebook in October 2013: “One of the first questions I was asked was ‘How will having MS affect your ability to perform throughout the season?’ The truthful answer is… I had no idea.”

And before the final, he shared his experience of having MS and learning to dance. Osbourne wrote: “Although since being diagnosed in May of 2012 with relapsing-remitting MS (RRMS) I’ve been able to maintain a very active, and somewhat healthy lifestyle, I hadn’t had the opportunity to really figure out my limitations.”

In 2023, Osbourne was forced to withdraw from Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, the US version of SAS: Who Dares Wins, in episode six, on medical grounds. His elevated heart rate concerned show doctors, leading to his exit.

At the time, he told Entertainment Weekly: “The show’s doctors were more concerned than I was. I’m pretty healthy considering I’m living with MS, but it doesn’t present itself daily for me. I’ve been, touch wood, going pretty strong, and I don’t have any issues with it right now. So that wasn’t a concern.”

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here will air on Sunday, November 16, on ITV1 and ITVX.
