WideluxX: A New Era for a Classic Camera
The WideluxX is designed to honor the legacy of the original Panon Widelux F8. This particular model holds immense significance for Jeff Bridges, who recalls how it reignited his passion for photography. “I didn’t really start getting into photography until I got a hold of a Widelux camera,” he states. He reminisces about the distinct blurred motion and unique frame that this camera offers.
Notable Features and Improvements
The creators emphasize that the WideluxX will retain the essence of the F8 while integrating several enhancements. For instance, improved knobs and construction are among the updates promised by the SilverBridges team. “There’s going to be a lot of small improvements, but its DNA is still an F8,” says Schuler.
Bridges highlights the camera as more than just a tool. It symbolizes the bridge between analog photography’s history and its future. This project aims to equip a new generation of photographers, allowing them to explore the art and craft of analog photography.
