Johnny Beecher hits waivers as Bruins adjust roster

The Boston Bruins are making a roster move amid multiple injuries.
General manager Don Sweeney announced on Monday that the team has placed forward Johnny Beecher on waivers, for the purpose of assigning him to Providence.
Beecher, a 2019 draft pick, has played six games for the Bruins this season. He was held out of Monday morning’s skate pending a roster decision.
The 24-year-old is coming off playing a full season with the Bruins, in which he recorded 11 points in 78 games.
The team has not provided further details on the reasoning behind the decision, but it comes amid a stretch where the Bruins are navigating multiple injuries across their roster.
