Czech Coach Says Team Ready to Defeat Opponent

The head coach of the Czech national football team, Jaroslav Šilhavý, gave an interview to journalists ahead of the final World Cup qualification match against Gibraltar. This match is scheduled to begin on November 17 at 10:45 PM Moscow time.
The Czech Republic has already secured a place in the playoff stage and can afford to play with less pressure. Nonetheless, the team’s supporters expect an improvement in the squad’s performance.
In their last match, a friendly game, the Czech Republic narrowly defeated San Marino with a score of 1-0. “We have conducted twice as many training sessions compared to the previous match and want to demonstrate new elements during the game.
There will be some changes in the squad. I believe we are ready to fight the opponent not only in terms of results but also in the quality of play.
I hope our fans will chant the word ‘goal’ more than once,” Šilhavý told idnes.cz during the interview. Croatia leads the group with 19 points.
The Czech Republic holds second place with 13 points, while the Faroe Islands have 12, Montenegro 9, and Gibraltar remains at 0 points.
