Nic Nemeth (Dolph Ziggler) Makes Surprise Return To WWE On Raw

Nic Nemeth, formerly known as Dolph Ziggler, made an unexpected return to WWE programming on Monday Night Raw from Madison Square Garden. Nemeth was revealed as the mystery opponent for Solo Sikoa in the “Last Time Is Now” Tournament. The tournament is being held to determine who will face John Cena in his final match at the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event.

The return marks Nemeth’s first appearance in a WWE ring since his release from the company in September 2023. During the match, Nemeth was ultimately defeated by Solo Sikoa with the Samoan spike. While not officially confirmed by WWE, the appearance is likely a “one off,” similar to Matt Cardona’s (Zack Ryder) recent single appearance on SmackDown.

Nemeth’s Post-WWE Career

Since his WWE departure, Nemeth has embarked on a highly publicized run across multiple major promotions, capturing several world championships. He made his debut for TNA Wrestling at Hard To Kill in January 2024. He later captured the TNA World Championship at Slammiversary in July 2024. He recently just wrestled a tag team match alongside Frankie Kazarian at TNA’s Turning Point special on November 14, 2025.

In addition to his TNA run, Nemeth also made his debut for New Japan Pro-Wrestling at Wrestle Kingdom 18 in January 2024. In his debut match for the promotion in February 2024, he defeated David Finlay to win the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship. Nemeth also won the AAA Mega Championship in April 2024.

Nemeth has also been active on the independent circuit, including a match against Amazing Red just this past weekend at the House of Glory SuperClash event on November 15, 2025.

Tournament to Continue

With Solo Sikoa advancing, “The Last Time Is Now” Tournament continues. Sikoa moves one step closer to securing the final match of John Cena’s career. The tournament also saw Gunther defeat Je’Von Evans in another first-round match on tonight’s show.
