‘I’m 45 and I embrace my curves’ Kelly Brook is bikini-ready for the I’m A Celeb jungle shower

Nearly 20 years on, it remains perhaps the iconic I’m a Celebrity moment – Myleene Klass taking an outdoor shower in a skimpy white bikini.

So it is no wonder this year’s ‘pin-up’ signing, former glamour model Kelly Brook, is going to great lengths to create her own jungle-shower moment.

The Mail on Sunday can reveal the 45-year-old sought out a senior female producer for some key advice before filming began.

She wanted to know which of the swimsuits she had brought looked best on her for the show – and then had them sent off for a special screen test.

An ITV source said: ‘Kelly brought out a load of bikinis with her and then she had a girlie session with an I’m A Celeb producer, picking out the most flattering ones. They decided on six in the end.

‘This hasn’t been done with anyone else, mind. Kelly just really wanted a second opinion on the perfect bikini.’

Before travelling out to Australia ahead of the series, which starts tonight, the Heart Radio presenter had even turned to Ms Klass, 47, for tips on how to secure the best shot in a flattering bikini.

Ms Brook told the MOS the bikinis had ‘all gone off to wardrobe to get tested on camera, so they’ll decide for me’.

‘Myleene said that when she arrived, she did actually have a swimsuit but it was inappropriate for television,’ she explained. ‘I think it was strobing [on screen] so she actually had to run out and get something when she was here.

‘I made sure that I packed plenty of swimsuits, so we had loads of options.

‘But that white bikini that she wore, that iconic scene of her in the shower looking incredible, that was just not a pre-planned thing. I think that was just a moment in time… and it was her moment.’

It is widely believed Ms Klass’s white bikini helped her secure runner-up in 2006 behind winner Matt Willis.

During her time on I’m A Celebrity she was the most-Googled contestant globally – and signed her first brand deal with Marks & Spencer shortly afterwards.

But Ms Brook said: ‘I’m not a 20-yearold bikini model any more. You know, life changes and your body changes, and I just hope people are accepting of me and how I look now and not comparing me to how I used to look. I feel really confident and strong. I feel like my body’s in good shape. I’m 45 and I embrace my curves.’
