Aitch has a sister named Gracie, who was born with Down’s syndrome – a genetic condition where a person has an extra chromosome, altering the course of development.

The rapper is an ambassador for the Down’s Syndrome Association and wants to use his time on I’m A Celeb to raise awareness about the genetic condition.

He said: “You can be a day before giving birth, and if you find out your child’s got Down’s syndrome, you can still have the option to terminate it.

“Whereas in another situation, if your kid doesn’t have that, you’ve only got a certain amount of time before you can abort it.”

Aitch continued: “I feel like there are certain times where, don’t get me wrong, I could be selfish about it. My sister’s good and she always will be, and that is my main concern.

“But at the same time, I’m not just doing it for people with Down’s syndrome, I’m doing it for people around them as well.

“I don’t want anyone to be disheartened if they do find out someone in the family has Down’s syndrome.

“It’s a blessing. You’re going to have the best time of your life as long as you’re spending it with that person.”
