Our 10 ‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ Picks for ‘Perfect Match’ & More

Netflix
[Warning: The following contains MAJOR spoilers for Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2.]
Squid Game is definitely not the reality TV competition to enter if you’re looking for love, but that doesn’t mean we’re not rooting for all 456 players to find their happily ever after.
Squid Game: The Challenge is a reality competition show based on Netflix’s scripted dystopian thriller of the same name, which follows over 400 contestants fighting to outlast their peers in a series of hardcore playground-like games, such as Slides and Ladders and Marbles. The catch? One wrong move is all it takes to get eliminated. With $4.56 million at stake, everyone is willing to deceive their peers to get closer to the prize.
From Player 415, who lied and told everyone that it was his birthday, to father/daughter duo, Players 369 and 370, it’s safe to say that we’ve grown attached to many of the Season 2 players. While the stakes aren’t as high as the original series, where losing is literally deadly, this emotionally charged game has us hoping to see its players in a happier, dare we say, more romantic setting instead.
Below, we’ve rounded up ten Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2 players that we would love to see on Perfect Match, which famously pulls its contestants from Netflix’s other reality series. With one cast member already rumored to have earned their spot on Perfect Match Season 4, and others whose relationship status makes them ineligible, scroll to find out everyone who made our list.
Squid Game: The Challenge, Season 2 Finale, Tuesday, November 18, 9/8c, Netflix
Squid Game: The Challenge, Season 2, Episodes 1-8, Streaming Now, Netflix
Netflix / Viper Glanton / Instagram
Viper (Player 152)
Our first pick for Perfect Match is Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2 standout, Viper Glanton. Outside of the show, Viper is a music producer, SoulCycle instructor, and all-around the most wholesome dude. Plus, he appears to be single. Let’s just hope nobody wants to play Catch on the beach…
Neflix / Jonti Crisp / Instagram
Jonti (Player 118)
Get this Aussie to the beach STAT! After placing his game in the hands of Viper, Jonti Crisp saw an untimely exit during the early stages of the game, but that doesn’t mean that we’ve forgotten about the Australian risk taker. Jonti doesn’t share much about his love life online, so we’re going to take a leap to champion him for the dating show.
Netflix / Zoe Stinson / Instagram
Zoe (Player 369)
Zoe Stinson entered Squid Game alongside her dad, Curt. However, as soon as the Front Man started playing Zoe’s six-legged race in the dorms, it became clear that everyone cared about the Stinsons. While we would absolutely love to see Zoe on Perfect Match, her social media makes it clear that she recently got married to her husband, Chris. Her fellow players Perla Figuereo and Emily Boe were even at the wedding!
Netflix / Raul Gibson / Instagram
Raul (Player 431)
We just know that Netflix would jump at the opportunity to bring the Gibson twins on Perfect Match, especially if they were able to join the game via the infamous Boardroom. However, Player 431, Raul Gibson, appears to be in a relationship with a social media manager named Katy. Great for them, but devastating for us.
Netflix / Jacob Gibson / Instagram
Jacob (Player 432)
Turns out Raul is in good company, as his brother Jacob is also seemingly taken. On his Instagram, Jacob frequently posts with fellow Bristol resident, Sophie. Seeing as both of the twins won’t be hitting the Perfect Match beach anytime soon, we’d love to put their names in the ring for The Circle. Watching that daring duo play a catfish would be everything and more.
Netflix / Samantha Chan / Instagram
Samantha (Player 352)
Hopefully, Samantha Chan would have better luck at Mingle (or, mingling) on Perfect Match than she did on Squid Game: The Challenge. We’d love to see Samantha on our screens again, and since there is no sign of a relationship on her socials, we’re thinking Perfect Match could be her place to shine.
Netflix / Mackenzie Bellows / Instagram
Mackenzie (Player 451)
Rumor has it, Mackenzie Bellows has already scored a spot on Season 4 of Perfect Match. But, right now, there is no hard evidence to prove that the Squid Game star has hit the beach. Outside of the dorms, Mackenzie is a realtor and big sister who posts a ton of selfies! Could she be the one in 456 to continue to star in the Netflix Reality Universe?
Netflix / Emily Boe / Instagram
Emily Boe (Player 383)
If there’s one contestant who’s captured the joy of Squid Game: The Challenge on TikTok, it’s costume artist Emily Boe. From explaining the logistics of Slides and Ladders to why people cried so much throughout the challenge, Emily has made our viewing experience even more immersive, and, honestly, we can’t wait to see her again.
Netflix / Trinity Parriman / Instagram
Trinity (Player 398)
Sometimes, getting picked last isn’t always a bad thing. For Trinity Parriman, not getting picked at all became a fast track to the final 10. While we’d love to see more of Trinity on Netflix, we’ll admit that we have to look somewhere other than Perfect Match to get him back on our screens because he has an adorable relationship with his girlfriend, Izzy.
Netflix / Perla Figuereo / Instagram
Perla (Player 072)
Breakout star Perla Figuereo has been on our showmance watch throughout the entire second season of Squid Game: The Challenge. However, now that she’s made it to the final five, it’s clear that no one is going to fall in love in the dorms this season. As Perla appears single, we’re starting our campaign to get her on Perfect Match now because we simply can’t get enough of Player 072.
