Golden Knights end Rangers’ 6-game road winning streak

Braeden Bowman, Ben Hutton, and Shea Theodore all scored, while Akira Schmid made 17 saves for the Golden Knights (9-4-6), who have won two of their last three.
Jonny Brodzinski and Vincent Trocheck scored, while Igor Shesterkin made 23 saves for the Rangers (10-9-2), who had won three of their last four.
Bowman fired a rebound into an open net off a Hertl tip-in attempt on the power play to make it 1-0 at 11:40 of the first period.
Hutton’s wrist shot in close beat Shesterkin five-hole to give the Golden Knights a 2-0 lead at 3:23 of the second period.
Brodzinski got the Rangers on the board and made it 2-1 at 8:56. Schmid made the initial save on Will Cuylle’s shot on the odd-man rush, but Brodzinski was there for the rebound at the backdoor.
Theodore roofed a wrist shot on the power play past a screened Shesterkin to push it to 3-1 at 7:18 of the third period.
Brodzinski thought he cut it to 3-2 at 12:42, poking in a loose puck in the crease. Golden Knights coach Bruce Cassidy challenged for offside, which was confirmed.
Trocheck redirected Artemi Panarin’s shot at 17:17 for the 3-2 final with Shesterkin off for the extra attacker.
