DroneShield’s silence betrays the very investors behind its rise

As a former intelligence analyst with the US Navy, the chief executive of DroneShield’s US operation, Matt McCrann, would have seen a bit of cloak-and-dagger stuff in his time.

But even McCrann, whose sudden departure on Wednesday helped send DroneShield shares down another 17.5 per cent, must be amazed at the cone of silence that’s descended on this company since founder and chief executive Oleg Vornik sold every one of his shares in the company for almost $50 million, between November 6 and November 12.
