The Royal Variety Performance is set to return to our screens once again, with a star-studded line-up of the best British and international acts. Here’s everything you need to know about the 2025 show

The 113th Royal Variety Performance is set to light up London’s Royal Albert Hall this week on 19 November. The annual charity event, which boasts a glittering line-up of top British and international acts, will be aired on ITV.

With a staggering global audience of 152 million TV viewers, the organisers hail it as the world’s most successful and longest-running entertainment show. This year, the Prince and Princess of Wales are set to attend as the Royal guests of honour on Wednesday evening.

The performance is organised in support of the Royal Variety Charity, with all proceeds going towards helping individuals from the entertainment industry who need care and assistance.

When did the Royal Variety Performance start?

The inaugural Royal Variety Performance took place in 1912, attended by His Majesty King George V and Her Majesty Queen Mary.

The line-up for the Royal Variety Performance 2025 includes a special feature from the musical Les Misérables, with 400 performers including Michael Ball, Matt Lucas, Katy Secombe, Bradley Jaden and Killian Donnelly. They’ll be joined by the West End and Paris casts, as well as amateur companies from across the UK, performing a medley to celebrate the show’s 40th anniversary, reports the Liverpool Echo.

An exclusive performance from Paddington The Musical will also be part of the programme, introduced by composer Tom Fletcher.

Jessie J is set to perform a deeply personal track, ‘I’ll Never Know Why’, from her forthcoming album, while Madness will make their first appearance, joined by Grammy Award-winning Laufey.

Stephen Fry will also grace the stage, fresh off his stint in the West End’s ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’.

A magical illusion will be performed by Britain’s Got Talent victor Harry Moulding, with comedic relief provided by Tom Davis and Mick Miller, as well as impressions from the cast of BBC’s popular series ‘Dead Ringers’.

Sir Bob Geldof, Midge Ure and special guests will present a unique performance from the Live Aid musical ‘Just For One Day’.

In addition, Johannes Radebe will perform a snippet from the musical ‘Kinky Boots’.

Adrian Stoica and his border collie, Hurricane, winners of America’s Got Talent, will make their UK debut with a specially choreographed routine.

The Royal Variety Performance 2025 is scheduled for Wednesday, November 19.

The event will also be aired on ITV, with the exact date and time yet to be confirmed.

Who is the Royal Variety Performance presenter?

Jason Manford will be the master of ceremonies for the evening. He previously hosted the 2020 Royal Variety Performance in Blackpool, which, due to COVID-19 restrictions and following government guidelines, was attended by a virtual audience.

Prior to this, Jason had appeared at the Royal Variety Performance three times since 2009.

How can you secure tickets for the Royal Performance 2025?

Tickets for this year’s event are still up for grabs.

Although show tickets and access passes have been snapped up, boxes and after-show options remain available.
