William Shatner, Brent Spiner, Jeri Ryan, And More Beaming In To Star Trek Chicago This Weekend

Creation Entertainment has one more regional Star Trek convention lined up for 2025, returning to the Windy City for ST: CHI, featuring big stars and some local flavor.
Trek Tour 2025 wraps up in Chicago
This Saturday and Sunday the Westin O’Hare Hotel will be the home of ST-CHI: Trek to Chicago. The final celebrity lineup features the stars of several Star Trek series, including William Shatner, Brent Spiner, Jeri Ryan, Doug Jones, Gates McFadden, Nana Visitor, Tim Russ, Cirroc Lofton, Anthony Rapp, Christina Chong, Gabrielle Ruiz, and Chase Masterson. Also appearing will be Trek guest stars Todd Stashwick, Jonathan Del Arco, Natalija Noguluich, and Sandy Gimpel.
All of the celebs will be appearing on stage for panels and be available for photo ops. There are special group photo ops as well, usually themed around shows (like TNG’s Brent Spiner and Gates McFadden, or Picard’s Jeri Ryan and Gates McFadden). Many also will be available at individual tables for autographs during the weekend.
The program will not just feature celebrities, but also have panels of behind-the-scenes experts, including documentary director David Zappone and Berman-era script coordinator Lolita Fatjo as well as several science experts and authors. Podcaster Ryan T. Husk and Prodigy’s Bonnie Gordon are co-hosts for the weekend event. Husk tells TrekMovie what has him enthusiastic about ST:CHI:
“We are very excited about this Chicago convention, as it is unique in a few ways. We’ve got a ton of cool first-time special events; starting on Friday, Sandy Gimpel will be doing her very first professional photo ops for a convention ever, sixty years after appearing in ‘The Cage’— that’s a historic event!—and it’s technically the first major convention celebrating Star Trek’s 60th year. All in all, in my opinion, this is going to be one of the most memorable and historic conventions ever, and it’s something that I don’t think Star Trek fans want to miss.”

Performances, events, and some local flavor
There are several special events lined up for the weekend, often connected to a particular celebrity like a performance by Tim Russ and his band, an after-party hosted by Bonnie Gordon, a pajama party with Chase Masterson, coffee and croissant breakfast with Gates McFadden (remember TNG’s “Attached”?), Ethiopian dinner with Cirroc Lofton, and a Chicago pizza lunch with local boy Todd Stashwick.

There is also a game show, a Karaoke party, a cosplay contest, and, of course, a vendors room. While the convention programming runs on Saturday and Sunday, there are also things to do on preview night on Friday, including a live performance of “Starship Edsel” from the local Other World Theatre improv company.
Tickets still available
General admission day passes are available starting at $35 for a day or $65 for the weekend. There are additional tiers for people interested in reserved seating, priority lines for autographs, and other benefits.
