Minka Kelly Awkwardly Dodged a Sudden Interview Question About Dan Reynolds

  • Minka Kelly and Imagine Dragons frontman, Dan Reynolds, have been in a low-key relationship since November 2022.
  • Minka was caught off guard when she was suddenly asked about Dan during an interview about her new movie on The Today Show.
  • The actor awkwardly dodged the question and brought the conversation back to her upcoming film, Champagne Problems.

Although Minka Kelly and Dan Reynolds have been going strong since 2022, their relationship remains relatively low-key. So, when Minka was suddenly asked about her romance with the Imagine Dragons frontman during an interview about her upcoming holiday rom-com, Champagne Problems, it’s safe to say it caught her totally off guard.

Jenna Bush Hager likely didn’t mean any harm when she asked the Ransom Canyon star about her love life. In an attempt to create a wholesome viral moment, The Today Show host asked, “Speaking about the holidays and love in this rom-com, you have a very big love in your life, right? Talk about your relationship, if you feel comfortable.”

Jenna then tried to ease the blow when she brought up a social media tribute the actor shared for Dan’s birthday, where she gushed that he had “healed wounds in me he did not inflict.”

Instead, she was met with an awkward reaction from Minka, who tried her best to dodge the question. “Yeah, it is beautiful. I feel really lucky, he’s a really good guy,” she shared, though their romance has been kept relatively private over the years.

Jenna responded with a laugh, (sort of) accepting defeat. “Sounds like you don’t want to talk about it. That’s fine,” she said, as her guest host, Olivia Munn, tried to make it less awkward by praising Dan’s band, Imagine Dragons. ICYMI, Olivia starred in the band’s music video for “Cutthroat” in 2021.

“It was the first thing I did after COVID,” Olivia shared of her experience shooting with Dan. “I was actually pregnant, and no one had known yet…but anyways, he was so kind.”

“He’s the best, they’re all the best,” Minka responded, before bringing the convo back to her Netflix project. “I think there’s something sort of similar to the movie, the theme of love sort of hits you when you least expect it.”

Honestly, shoutout to Olivia for helping a girl out during an awkward moment!
