Cash-strapped RTÉ to spend over €130,000 on ‘emotionally resonant’ TV ad celebrating its legacy

Cash-strapped RTÉ is planning to spend over €130,000 making an “emotionally resonant” TV commercial celebrating 100 years of public service media and its own legacy in Ireland.
The 45-second TV commercial and a 40-second audio version will air next year to coincide with the centenary of the first radio broadcast by RTÉ’s precursor, 2RN, in 1926.
