Holidaymakers can now enjoy two new destinations from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (JLA). Airline easyJet has launched two new routes from Liverpool John Lennon Airport for summer 2026.

The airline’s new flights to Paphos start on August 2 and operate on Thursdays and Sundays while its new Lisbon connection will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from March 31.

Both routes mean customers can enjoy the “vibrant culture” of Lisbon by exploring its historic neighbourhoods, sampling traditional Portuguese cuisine, and enjoying breath-taking views from the city’s iconic hilltops.

For those wanting to experience the “charm” of Paphos, you can now visit its gorgeous archaeological sites or relax on beautiful Mediterranean beaches and enjoy authentic Cypriot cuisine in the town’s harbour area, direct from Liverpool.

easyJet holidays has also launched holiday packages to each destination, each including flights and hotel.

Earlier this month easyJet also launched its inaugural flight to Vienna from Liverpool. Its first flight took off on November 13 from Speke and will continue to operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays throughout the Christmas period.

Vienna, the capital of Austria, is famous for its culture and the airline predicts it will be a firm favourite with customers looking to explore Christmas markets this winter.

Kevin Doyle, easyJet UK Country Manager, said: “In our 30th year, we’re still as committed as ever to making travel easy and affordable for our customers in the UK.

“With two new routes and package holidays to Lisbon and Paphos now available to book from Liverpool Airport for next summer, we’re continuing to provide our customers in the Northwest with even more choice and connectivity at fantastic fares, and we look forward to welcoming them onboard.”

Paul Winfield, LJLA’s Aviation Director also said: “We are delighted to welcome two additional easyJet routes to the north west’s Faster, Easier, Friendlier Airport. Prior to COVID, Liverpool John Lennon Airport was linked to the Portuguese capital with close to over half a million passengers using the route with strong demand for both inbound and outbound travel.

“Paphos is also a welcome addition to the easyJet network, complementing the existing service to Larnaca. Paphos remains underserved from Liverpool John Lennon Airport with currently just 3 of the 24 weekly departing flights from north west airports, operating from Liverpool, so we anticipate strong potential to grow this route.”

Over the past 12 months, easyJet has continued to grow its network at the airport, having launched eight new routes from Liverpool including Malta, Fuerteventura, Prague, Berlin, Marrakesh, City of Derry, Sharm el Sheikh, and Split.

To support the new routes easyJet added an additional aircraft during the summer, taking its total fleet size to eight.
