Peter Crouch says former Celtic players always tell him the same thing about the club

Celtic fans know just how big their great club is on the global scale of football clubs.
Celtic’s standing in Europe has taken a battering this season after the Champions League exit to Kairat Almaty.
However, Celtic’s dominance domestically is unmatched as is the club’s following all over the world with supporters clubs and associations dotted all over the globe.
And it is that which Peter Crouch says leaves former players amazed about the Parkhead club as the former England striker shares what ex-players always tell him about the Bhoys when they leave Celtic.

Peter Crouch admits ex-players can’t believe the ‘size’ of Celtic
Crouch is not daft when it comes to talking about Celtic. The former Spurs man has spoken favourably about the club before in the past.
And here, Crouch is speaking to Joe Hart as he tells the former Celtic goalkeeper what ex-Parkhead players always tell him about the Glasgow giants.
Crouch said on That Peter Crouch Podcast, “I think the main resurgence I felt for you was Celtic. You had a good time up there, didn’t you?
“When I speak to people who have played for Rangers or Celtic, especially, I don’t think you realise the size of the club until you go there.”
What Peter Crouch once said about Celtic in the English Premier League
The age-old argument of whether Celtic could cope in the Premier League is one that has been doing the rounds for many years.
However, five years ago, Crouch’s praise for Celtic coming up against England’s best clubs was undeniable.
Crouch said back in September 2020, “They would be close to the top if it had anything to do with tradition and history.
“They are amazing clubs and I know from being up in Glasgow last year how enthusiastic their fans are. I was waiting in Glasgow airport with Chris Sutton and it was like sitting with Elvis!

“I’ve got to be honest with you, unfortunately, and say as things stand both Rangers and Celtic would be in the bottom half if they entered the Premier League and that is purely down to the budgets. The squads assembled and the wages the top English teams pay are on another level.
“For that reason, I don’t see how Rangers or Celtic could compete (with their current squads).”
Indeed, not many Celtic fans would argue with that but give the club the money generated down south for a couple of years, Celtic would not just compete in the EPL, they could win it.
