“Alongside the Premier League, EFL, SPFL, WSL and more, fans will now regularly enjoy domestic or European football every day of the week during the season on Sky Sports.”
It comes after a huge shake-up of the European football TV rights on Thursday which saw TNT lose out on the Champions League, Europa and Conference League.
SunSport reported that Paramount+ were in the advanced stages of taking over the rights from TNT on Thursday.
The media giants are the preferred bidder to win the rights in the UK and Germany and are on the verge of securing their deal.
Paramount are understood to be confident they can deliver a strong return on their investment when the move is rubber-stamped.
The deal will see Paramount given first pick of the games on Wednesday, while also retaining exclusivity for the final.
Amazon will continue to show weekly games every Tuesday under its existing deal.
The current batch of Champions League rights are worth nearly £3billion a year.
