For those in the Triangle area of North Carolina, there are plenty of options available for dining out or picking up a feast to enjoy at home.
Here’s a guide to some restaurants in Raleigh, Durham, Cary and nearby areas open on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 27, or offering holiday takeout packages.

Restaurants open Thanksgiving Day 🦃
Angus Barn: There is no place in Raleigh for Thanksgiving dinner and holiday celebrations quite like the Angus Barn. The legendary steakhouse is open from noon to 6 p.m. Kids ages 4 and younger eat free, kids 5-12 years old are $35, 65 and older are $45 and everyone else is $65 each. The steakhouse is located at 9401 Glenwood Ave.
Bob Evans: Many locations are open on Thanksgiving Day from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Brio Italian Grill Raleigh: Open on Thanksgiving Day and reservations can be made online, while available. Located at Crabtree Valley Mall, 4325 Glenwood Ave., Suite 5000 in Raleigh.
The Capital Grille: Open on Thanksgiving Day and reservations can be made online, while available.
Counting House in Durham: Open on Thanksgiving Day and reservations can be made on online, while available.
Cracker Barrel: Most locations are open regular business hours on Thanksgiving Day. Cracker Barrel will serve a traditional Thanksgiving meal starting at 11 a.m. Check Cracker Barrel’s website for specific hours or if you want to order Thanksgiving food to-go.
Crossroads Restaurant at The Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill: Open on Thanksgiving Day, and reservations can be made online, while available. Offering a holiday menu for $129 per person.
Denny’s: Select Denny’s locations are open on Thanksgiving Day although hours may vary. You may want to call your location to verify its hours.
Fleming’s Steakhouse in Raleigh: Open on Thanksgiving Day starting at 11 a.m. and reservations can be made online, while available. Serving a three-course meal featuring herb-roasted turkey, filet mignon or prime bone-in ribeye.
Golden Corral: Open on Thanksgiving Day and serving a special holiday buffet. Most Triangle locations are open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., but some have different hours. See Golden Corral’s website for the hours for your location.
Hibernian Pub: Both locations of this Irish pub and restaurant on Glenwood Ave and Falls of Neuse Road will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
Irregardless Cafe: The restaurant is accepting reservations for Thanksgiving Day and is offering a special menu. It is $60 per person. Irregardless is also offering take-and-bake turkey packages online. The restaurant is located at 901 W. Morgan St. in Raleigh.
Kababish in Cary: The restaurant will be open from noon to 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. The restaurant is also offering its annual masala turkey dish, which includes mashed potatoes, rice with corn and beans, gravy and cranberry jelly. Kababish is located at 201 W. Chatham St .#103 in Cary.
Lucky 32 in Cary: Located at 7307 Tryon Road in Cary, the restaurant will be open on Thanksgiving Day. The restaurant is taking reservations and will offer a special Thanksgiving menu.
Maggiano’s Little Italy: Open on Thanksgiving Day and accepting reservations. Maggiano’s is also offering Thanksgiving carryout bundles. The restaurant is located at 8030 Renaissance Pkwy #890 in Durham.
Margaux’s Restaurant: Open on Thanksgiving Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Thanksgiving three-course menu is $84.95 per person. Located in North Raleigh at 8111 Creedmoor Road, Margaux’s Restaurant is known for its creative cuisine, combining French, Asian and Southern flavors.
Metro Diner in Raleigh: The restaurant is selling heat-and-serve feasts for Thanksgiving. The deadline to order is Tuesday, Nov. 25.
Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille in Raleigh: Open on Thanksgiving Day from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. and offering a $49 Thanksgiving menu in addition to its regular menu. Perry’s is also offering to-go orders. The restaurant is located at 4509 Creedmoor Road.
The Pit Authentic BBQ (Raleigh): The Pit Authentic BBQ is accepting reservations while they last on Thanksgiving Day. The restaurant at 328 W. Davie St. is also offering take-out packages.
The Pickled Onion in Raleigh: Open on Thanksgiving Day with a special menu for $21.95.
Pure Vegan Cafe: The plant-based restaurant at 8369 Creedmoor Road in Raleigh is offering a holiday menu and a Thanksgiving special.
Sophie’s Bar & Grill in Cary: Open on Thanksgiving Day and accepting reservations, while available. Located at 2734 N.C. Highway 55, Cary, NC 27519.
Sullivan’s Steakhouse in Raleigh: Open Thanksgiving Day from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Make reservations on Sullivan’s website. The restaurant is located at 410 Glenwood Ave.
Talulla’s in Chapel Hill: Open on Thanksgiving Day from 1:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. and serving a special menu for $52 per person. See the restaurant’s website for reservations, while available. Located at 456 W. Franklin St., Chapel Hill, NC 27516.
Tandem in Carrboro: Open on Thanksgiving Day with a special holiday menu and reservations are required. It is $85 per adult and $25 for children 12 and younger. Tandem is also offering a to-go menu.
The Restaurant at The Durham: Situated in the stylish boutique Durham Hotel, The Restaurant at The Durham is a chic dining spot known for its farm-fresh, locally sourced cuisine. Open on Thanksgiving Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is $85 per adult and $35 for children ages 10 and younger. Reservations are required.
Time-Out in Chapel Hill: Open 24/7, 365 days a year at 201 E. Franklin St. in Chapel Hill. Time-Out also offers holiday bundles for pickup.
Waffle House: Most Waffle House locations are open on Thanksgiving Day.
The Willard Rooftop in Raleigh: Open on Thanksgiving Day and accepting reservations online while they last. It is $60 per adult, $25 for kids ages 5-12, and free for kids ages 4 and younger.
