Scarlett, who won I’m A Celebrity in 2016, said: “Strictly has always held a special place in my heart, so being part of the Christmas Special feels truly magical.
“It’s the show that brings everyone together around the TV, and being part of that is a genuine personal and career highlight.
“I’m sure it’ll also introduce me to a few muscles I didn’t know I had. I can’t wait to live my best life on that dancefloor.”
Scarlett announced the news tonight on Strictly: It Takes Two, joining other rumoured stars on the line-up including Towie star Jess Wright and Big Brother host Will Best.

She will forge into the lead as bookies’ favourite thanks to a wealth of dance background.
Scarlett spent years competing in ballroom competitions in her youth and even vowed to once never take part in Strictly because of it.
In 2018 she told The Sun: “I feel like I probably couldn’t [do Strictly] because I can already dance.
“I feel like I would have a very unfair advantage.
“As a little kid, I always said to me mam that my dream was to own a dance school.
“When I was growing up… I was badly bullied but when I went dancing, it was a separate world.
“I just put my all into it. I definitely wouldn’t be doing the job I’m doing if it wasn’t for dance because I just wouldn’t have the confidence.
She added: “I really want to be in a musical – whether it’s a UK tour or the dream is West End. That would be amazing.”
This year’s Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special will see six couples battle it out under the glitterball to be crowned the Strictly Christmas Champion.
Hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will oversee the festivities for their final time, while Head Judge Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton Du Beke will all be on hand to dish out scores.
But the voting studio audience will decide who wins.
