After a few days off, the Boston Celtics return to the court on Friday, Nov. 21 where they are hosting the Brooklyn Nets at TD Garden in Boston for an NBA Cup matchup.
This NBA game is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. EST and will be broadcast on NBC Sports Boston and YES Network. These teams last took the court on Tuesday when they faced off in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. as the Celtics earned a 113-99 victory thanks to a strong second half. Boston limited the Nets to just 14 fourth quarter points to cap off a solid defensive effort while Jaylen Brown and Payton Pritchard did a bulk of the offensive damage. Brown had a game-high 29 points and Pritchard had 22, a team-high 10 rebounds and five assists, which matched Anfernee Simons for the most on the Celtics. Simons also had 11 points off the bench while Josh Minott added another 10 and Sam Hauser provided 8 points, seven boards and two steals. Meanwhile, Derrick White had 15 points, five boards, four assists, two steals and two blocks.
On the other side, Michael Porter Jr. was Brooklyn’s high scorer with 26 to go with six boards and three steals. DAy’Ron Sharpe had 16, seven rebounds and three steals off the bench while Ziaire Williams added 12. Noah Clowney and Egor Demin combined for 25 in the starting lineup while Nic Claxton had a game-high 11 rebounds, five of which were offensive.
The Celtics are 8-7 coming into this matchup on a three-game winning streak while the Nets are 2-12.
