Lane Kiffin’s Son Knox Posts Photo Wearing LSU Headphones Amid Rumors on Ole Miss HC

Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin’s son, Knox, posted a photo of himself wearing LSU headphones on his Instagram story while his father’s long-term future with the Rebels hangs in the balance.

It’s worth noting that the younger Kiffin has worn the LSU headphones in the past, as he was seen sporting them in an Instagram post on Oct. 25.

As for Lane, he’s been rumored to be under consideration to replace Billy Napier at Florida as well as Brian Kelly at LSU.

The Tigers parted ways with Kelly on Oct. 26 after they opened the 2025 season with a 5-3 record, including a 2-3 mark in the SEC.

Ole Miss athletic director Keith Carter revealed Friday that an announcement will be made regarding Kiffin’s future at the school after the Rebels face Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl on Nov. 28.

ESPN’s Mark Schlabach reported that the Rebels had offered Kiffin a “lengthy extension with a salary comparable to those the Tigers and Gators are offering him.”

Kiffin has compiled a 54-19 record across his six years patrolling the sidelines at Ole Miss. He’s helped the Rebels reach a 10-1 mark during their 2025 campaign, sitting at No. 6 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings.

The strong start to the season for Ole Miss has been fueled by an offense averaging 37.2 points per game, the third-best mark in the SEC.
